Due to omns leaving us for a break, I have taken over the setting up of this popular thread. We hope to see as many excellent contributions as we have had in previous months' threads.

Please ensure that you use thumbnails when linking to the larger image to help those of us with slow connections. An example of the code needed is below (courtesy of omns!). Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well.

another (potentially bone-headed) idea for Statler artwork

A while ago, it occurred to me that replacing the "a" in "CrunchBang" with the Debian swirl seemed perfectly obvious. Along similar lines, I just had another idea:

Crunch#!Bang St@tler
powered by Debian

I had actually been toying with the idea of throwing the hashbang in the middle of the distro name for some time; the idea to put the Debian swirl or at sign in Statler just gave me an excuse to use it. The placement of the at sign in Statler rather than in CrunchBang is intentional; it is because Statler is the first release built from Debian rather than Ubuntu.

As I have absolutely no artistic talent, I'll leave the actual wallpaper development to the graphically gifted among us.

Hello all!

Hope you are all doing fine. With the Crunchbang-Debian cooperation coming along, so I wanted to show you these wallpapers. Their ideas are so simple, and feel free to criticize, especially about the font because I personally don't like it much!. :D

So, let's start with the default. Simple black stoned-fashion Debian logo along with the silver-white gradient Crunchbang text.

And here is the Khaki color..

Hi all!

I have to admit that I missed Windows Vista with its bugs and software problems, but I liked its style, so I thought about making a 50% Vista-like wallpaper. Hope I can make a Windows Classic wallpaper for Crunchbang :D, anyway, hope you like the new wallpaper.

Not the best wallpaper ever, just did this for myself to be honest, but I might as well share this ;)

EDIT: Replaced the pic with "version 2". (Just removed the background noise)
