Re: Absurd:Crunchbang to KDE!

Yeah you would have to wait for 4.8 to enter the Sid repos.

Re: Absurd:Crunchbang to KDE!

Hey all, I too have been suing KDE for a while now and it has been a great experience. I saw different views over here about the KDE, so I thought I should also come forward and out my experience over here. I came to know more after coming here.

Re: Absurd:Crunchbang to KDE!

I'm really confused what you're trying to say.

Re: Absurd:Crunchbang to KDE!

I have just installed "amarok" and am very happy with it. it personally think that kde is to much like mac. I dread that word. and think that kde programs run as slow as vista and also think that it's stupid that they rename their terminal "konsole" just because it has a "k" in it roll . but on the good side: their programs do seem to work very nicely once they start up and because all of their programs were meant for kde they all work nicely together.

Re: Absurd:Crunchbang to KDE!

Two months after my original posting I am still running Debian Squeeze kde 4.4 and am enjoying using it. I run it on two Atom 270 powered machines and, far from being slow as the previous poster suggested, it performs quickly and efficiently. Obviously not as fast as cb xfce but very well all the same.
It seems very solid, is not necessarily resource heavy  (depending on whether you turn on compositing and run a multitude of desktop widgets) and so far hasn't gone Krunchbang.
