For Firefox, go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Settings. Check the box for Manual proxy configuration. There you have to enter the IP and port of a US proxy.
Heres one example of a site with proxy lists: http://www.proxy-list.org/en/index.php
You can also google others if you like.
thanks
To make it easier in future install the Firefox extension, FoxyProxy. It has the ability to automatically use a certain configured proxy when it recognizes certain text on a page. So for example if you frequently came across pages that said "we are content-for-Americans fascists" you could configure FoxyProxy to use a US-based proxy everytime the page contained that text. Useful for some of the more common '"unauthorized ..." messages returned by common netfiltering/proxying apps.
looks promising, gonna try it
I suggest you google for the definition of 'fascism'
I really don't think fascism is that far off though..
