somebody knows how to change the desktop background color
Using Nitrogen, lower left there is a color box, normally set to Black by default in #!. Select that and change the color to what you want.
What is that launcher panel? Is that wbar or fbpanel?
He is using wbar.

I think I'm getting Tint2 configured so that it suits this desktop — at least I feel satisfied for the time being:
The background features this text logo suggestion I sketched for the logo competition, more as an idea that could be built upon by someone else with better graphic skills than a "serious" competition entry.
To learn how to setup conky I spent the last weekend.
And now I'm happy.

Hi mads,
Very nice clean desktop. Would you mind sharing some information about the GTK and Openbox themes you're using and where to find that wallpaper?
Don't like too much Conky madness - just the basics.

I quite like this little logo that jdugan has made ![]()
^ I just noticed that and came back to edit my post. My apologies to jdugan ![]()
Clean and dirty, my new Google inspired desktop. The top border is a wallpaper hack (blue bar look added to wallpaper). Bottom bar is tint2. Systray is Trayer.
Wallpaper: Pic I found centered on a white background turned into a wallpaper.
Openbox Theme: Personal creation.
GTK: MurrinaChrome
Font: HandelGotD (need to find a more Google like font)
Icon Set: Eikon2
Logo created here:
