Something simple

Hi all,
My daughter insisted that I should post this:
This is her comments to the logo:
The CrunchBang community pages is a communication platform, therefore the logo is shown as a square cube 3-d that shows some squares that each is individual and yet separated from each other. The most individual of them is the "blue" that symbolises the ! and the linux user that stands apart from the crowd.
Beside that the symbol # i shown in the white lines.
I've choosen to keep the idea with the #! but with a little twist though.
The colors are two different blue colors , that I've choosed because blue is the colors that often are related to Technology and Internet.
Besides this, the colors is separated on both white and black background.
The font used is Russell Square that matches the logo.
Now the family peace is settled, hope you guys can use it ![]()
Enjoy.

... yet beautiful! I like that very much.
Good points and great job on the icon...only problem is that it's too hard to see...I'm not sure where the icon ends and the white forum background begins for the front and front-right faces of the icon. Maybe the black would be better...or maybe it just depends on the background...just some thoughts!
That is what I think is interesting about it. But you're probably right about the smaller sizes. I think the white/grey on black version works better in smaller sizes.. it would definitely have to be tweaked.
I think the 'squareness' of it makes it work IMO. The thinner versions kind of lose that.
I'm away right now for a week or so. I probably won't be able to post any other entries before the 23rd but you never know. ![]()
This has been great fun seeing all the creative ideas and entries.
Another way to look at it.

Another way to look at it.
Reminds me a lot of KDE's "Gear" logo.
Nice logo.

Thanks, I was a little worried that the # wouldn't be obvious enough.
I'll have them all, thank you very much.
Yeah! that's awsome. I don't see my latest one tho.

Thanks, and sorry! I thought I included your latest, too, but apparently I didn't. Did you by any chance name the file by a name you had already used for a previous file? I ask that because just before finalizing the collage, I came back to the thread to check for new submissions, and I was going to save yours but the file name appeared to be already listed in my "working directory". Of course, it could be that I had saved it but somehow managed to skip it (even though I doubt that).
There may be other omissions too, please excuse me. I tried to include each submission but I may have overlooked links, etc. The image has no less than 79 layers, according to GIMP.

Thank you. Might be a little bit restless & distracting, don't you think, heheh...
Here's a representation of a slightly more polished version of my scaffolding & hammering logo:

And the text banner:

Just having fun (so they all say, I know)...

Comment: Your my new favorite person because everything you make looks friggin sweet to me! Great job on another logo idea!
Suggestion: Same logo but maybe for us who roll the lite you could have it say CrunchLite?

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. Unfortunately I don't have the files for that design with me at work, otherwise I'd drop in the 'lite'. Maybe i can hack something together in gimp.
Ok, the typeface isn't quite the same but here is generally what it would look like.
