Topic: download mirror for CrunchBang ISO images

If the powers that be would consent, I would be willing to run an official #! Mirror. Seems like there is at least a fair bit of interest for one. Some people don't want or can't download the isos via torrent.  I have a dedicated server with 100mbps worth of bandwidth, and also mirror for linuxmint already.

I'm sure no one would object to you hosting the images somewhere and providing people with a link. The only "powers that be" are corenominal and bobobex, you might have to get a hold of one of them to get a link to your mirror placed on the download page.

Should be able to, obviously the first couple of days after a new release I'm sure it will keep the server hopping, but normally I can't see it putting too much of a load on my server. Considering the kind of user that crunchbang normally attracts, I'd be supprised if the vast majority of users don't opt for a torrent download.

Thanks a lot, dustinhess.  I am in college and live on campus, and torrents are all blocked, so I had to find a direct download for a friend of mine who I've recently converted to Statler.  Couldn't have done it without you!  Thanks again.

Thanks, man. My ISP throttles torrents to the extent that I could probably perform successful open-heart surgery on myself in the time in would take to download a .torrent.

This link should be in a closed sticky, with an appropriate name, then it would be easier to find, it also got the Statler images from last February for those who want them.

I did a google and found it, I needed an image at work and didn't have my #! flash drive on me. This saved the day! (almost, work blocks FTP so I can't apt-get update && apt-get upgrade. D:< )
