OK, backing stuff up here and getting ready to move to #! fulltime at least for a few weeks. Anything I need to know besides the disclaimer?

Erm, not too sure at the moment as I am not familiar with your computing habits/needs. I guess it will be an exercise in "suck it and see"

Well, shiny! As long as the audio works and I can edit stuff in audacity I'll be fine. I'll let you know if stuff crops up. BTW, what are you using for the compositing features...

Compositing is currently handled by xcompmgr and a little script I wrote a while back. To be honest, it is a bit hit 'n' miss and with all compositing it works better on some cards than others.
