Topic: Dual monitors

I tried searching but i didn't find anything particular useful
My laptop(1280x800) is using Intel onboard graphics, and i want to use an external monitor(1680x1050)
I already tried using lxrandr and grandr, but only clone worked, and i want to be able to use one of them as a secondary monitor)
I'm using 9.04

Any ideas?

If I recall, it has to be supported by the graphics chip. If the card doesnt have the abilities to extend the desktop, you could be out of luck. Perhaps you could post the model?

Works fine in a default desktop ubuntu installation
