Topic: full disk encryption

Somebody at eeeuser.com is asking whether there's a way to set full disk encryption with CrunchBang.

Mrafrohead: I was checking out crunchbang.  Looks alright.  When I went to their download site, it appears that they do have an "alternate" method of installation, but that doesn't seem to be the same "alternate" disk that ubuntu comes with.

Is there a way to setup full disk encryption with crunchbang while doing the initial installation?

That has been a deal breaker with me and other flavors.  It is important to keep the TWA out of my box.  They have _NO_ right!

Anywho - if anyone has a second to let me know, I would appreciate it.

What could we answer him? I personaly don't know the answer to that question sad

Re: full disk encryption

Hello oupsemma smile

Yes, this should be possible by performing the alternative install method with either the standard or lite editions. The option to use disk encryption is given during the initial CLI installation when using the Ubuntu MinimalCD. Hope this helps.
