Just loaded it on my server,  It is sweet! Running it stock only adding claws-mail & hplip-gui  to it. It just what my server needed.

Re: CrunchBang Linux 8.10.01rc1 "Lite" Edition

"Lite" booted from CD in about two minutes and was fully installed in less than 20 -- very impressive!

I vote for Seamonkey over Kazehakase.  I ran some tests; both seemed to use about the same amount of memory, and significantly less than Firefox.  (I didn't do anything sophisticated -- just opened several tabs immediately after boot and with an empty cache, checking total memory usage as indicated by Conky.)  Both browsers seemed about as fast.  Kazehakase just has too many limitations to use for any length of time!

My old desktop has only 512MB of RAM.  Beginning about two years ago, I found it impossible to use Firefox on it in Windows -- with only 6-8 tabs open it would hog more than 300MB of memory, bringing the rest of the system to its knees!  Firefox 3 was a bit better, but still problematic.  So I switched to Seamonkey (or sometimes Opera), and have never looked back.  Both use a lot less memory than Firefox.  Now that I've switched to Linux, I find I can use Firefox again.  It's still a memory hog, but Linux seems to cope better than XP. smile
