Great work! Me too waiting for the upgrade instructions. I went to see mini laptops. There is a big temptation to buy one but my hp pavillion dv6000 is working just fine so no good reason to get a second one. roll I would but ... you know.

Great work. Thanks for all your efforts. I'll wait for the upgrade instructions as I have done quite a bit of customization.

Re: CrunchBang Linux 8.10.02 Released

Uh, if we were to upgrade, and for future reference, how does one replace PCMan with Thunar again?

Otherwise than that, looks like a good update and fixes all my problems with .01 .

Re: CrunchBang Linux 8.10.02 Released

Just install Thunar and uninstall PCManFM. Also change the "File Manager" menu item so it launches thunar instead of PCManFM.

Re: CrunchBang Linux 8.10.02 Released

Yeah. I want Thunar back, too. Thunar rules!!

Re: CrunchBang Linux 8.10.02 Released

+1 for Thunar smile

And now it's time to play with my babeee big_smile

Re: CrunchBang Linux 8.10.02 Released

Hello!  My openbox config menu and rc.xml files are pretty messy from when I upgraded to 8.10.01, can I get the defaults for 8.10.02 somewhere?

Edit:

FYI the default user files are in the /etc/skel folder. You can copy some or all of them over to your home folder as needed. smile

Actually, I am a huge ROX-Filer fan. big_smile It is a deceptive piece of software and very uninspiring at first glance; however, once you get to know it, it can be scripted to do just about anything. It really is a powerful, lightweight tool. I used it very happily for years. I dare anyone to use it as their primary file manager for an extended period of time and not agree with anything I just typed. wink

Seriously, do not underestimate the ROX!

Having said that, I am currently somewhat addicted to my PCManFm tabs. big_smile

Edit: I think we are in danger of moving off-topic.

Re: CrunchBang Linux 8.10.02 Released

Well, to me ROX is the KDE of lightweight file managers. Thunar is the Gnome. And I'm a Gnome/Thunar man. wink
