Topic: is anyone having trouble with the pastebin?

going back to some of the older pastebin pastes and they are showing up blank to me. Is it just me, or is it the pastebin?

I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may.

Re: is anyone having trouble with the pastebin?

When you paste to the bin you are given a choice of how long you want your paste to last. Do you think this might have something to do with it? Maybe the pastes you are trying to view had a limited life span? Regarding this, I always tend to set my pastes to never expire as I am somewhat uncomfortable about posting links to content which will expire. Personally, I think it would be a good idea to remove the option to have pastes expire. What do others think of this, good idea or not?

Re: is anyone having trouble with the pastebin?

Also, I noticed something odd when I was viewing one of your pastes. Note, the paste bin is accessible via both http://... and http://www... - Due to the way the pastebin works, pastes that are sent to the www address will only be accessible via that address, likewise for pastes that use the published address. Is this related?

As soon as I get time, I will try to resolve this with some server-side redirects so that only the non www address is used for future pastes.

Re: is anyone having trouble with the pastebin?

maybe it's just for me then, I'm pretty sure I set them not to expire. I was going back to my conky power usage script and some of the conky configs and they didn't show up anymore. It might just be they expired, that's why I wanted to double check.
