Anyone running the alpha should not need to do anything, especially if they are happy with their install. The next build will basically include all the updated packages since the alpha release, plus a few additional packages which have been identified as needing to be installed. I will list the additional packages for anybody who might want to install them.

That sounds perfect big_smile

Nothing?  something doesn't go "click".  If I do nothing wouldn't I stay Alpha always.  I can see how the Debian "Squeeze" part of "Statler" would be OK, it's the same "source" list", but there is the #! part of the source list.

I check it now and I see stuff I have NO IDEA if I need it or not, but since things work, I'm not going to add things I don't know about.

Yes, it is because we have just moved. The Virginmedia installation person is coming tomorrow, I cannot wait! big_smile

I read that yesterday in the forums someplace but after I asked here.
Good luck in your new place

Any packages which are modified directly for use with CrunchBang will be available via the CrunchBang Statler repository, so simply keeping your system up-to-date should ensure that you do not have to do anything to move from using the alpha to the beta. That is the plan, anyway. smile

P.S. This thread might be moving a bit off topic. hmm

Well, the way I see it the Muppets bandwidth reports shouldn't change to much on going from Alpha to beta.  Other then "word of mouth" advertising and new people downloading.
