Topic: New user here!

Hello! New to #!Crunchbang but have been using Ubuntu/Fedora/OpenSuse/Mint/Red Hat/Arch/Gentoo for a while. I distrohop a lot so hopefully I can settle down before the school year starts.

I still do have a Windows partition for 1 reason. Civilization. I just hope that Civ 5 has a Linux version.

That would be good, bobobex is a total megalomaniac and would love a Civ 5 Linux version! big_smile

A Civ Junkie, yep I freely admit I'm a Civ Junkie through and through.  The best I've found and it works excellent is to run Win7 as a VM in VMWare Workstation.  I've had a license for years and Civ runs excellent through it.  I also have dual monitors which I run the VM in full screen on one monitor and the performance is actually very good.  The initial cost of VMWare Workstation is expensive, round $180.  But the upgrades are very reasonable which VMWare usually has a major upgrade every two years and the upgrade costs about $80, well worth it.

In regards to a Civ 5 Linux version, don't hold your breath ...
