Yes you can: the most simple way would be to use unetbootin to create a bootable usb drive from the live (obviously this refers to #! 9.04) iso image of crunchbang and then enable the bios to boot from the usb. You'll have a complete #! distro which you could install also on your hard drive!

ErSandro, xaber, thanks!!:)
ask one more question. how to make a multi boot flash drive? i want put other living linux distros (like BackTrack, Parted Magic ...) in my flash drive, not only CrunchBang. is there a simple way to do this?
Mmmmmm... I really don't know... If possible, I think you should partition your usb drive, but, instincively, I sincerely doubt this will be a simple task...
In mere theory, I would think that after partitioning a (for example) /dev/sdb usb key, you should have two separate dev files for the 2 partitions (like /dev/sdb1 and /dev/sdb2). Then you could use unetbootin to install an os in sdb1 and another in sdb2... But I don't know how the bios will behave when having to do with a multipartition usb disk: you are not using a simple hard disk and, most of all, you are not using two completely installed distros, but two live cd images... And also: does the usb drive has a master boot record to manage dual boot? Well, I am really not able to answer to these questions, cause I've never heard of a multiboot usb: I'm really sorry!
But you can always try! It should not take much time ![]()
It seems possible.

This article is based on a windows only software (....why?), but maybe you can find something else.
Yes, if it's possible with windows, it sure is possible in linux also! You only need to find the right way!
No expert around here to help us out? ![]()
Hey Sandro I'm from Italy too! ![]()
Btw: maybe multibootiso (the app in the article) could work with wine... I doesn't seem to be a too complex app! And you can always run windows via virtualmachine (virtualbox or virt-manager: you choose!) and prepare the usb drive!

I live in Rome. Who knows, maybe once we'll meet "live".
Sorry for the little OT.
