Is it possible to install UNE (or for that matter other Notebook distros) on desktop PCs, or it just works for Atom processors?

Is it possible to install UNE (or for that matter other Notebook distros) on desktop PCs, or it just works for Atom processors?
WOW, kinda off-topic considering UNE is a Gnome remix. Anyway, I've tried it on a desktop PC, and even though the desktop has a faster dual-core chip than my netbook's Atom, it ran extremely sluggishly. Granted, this was one of the earlier Clutter-based implementations.
Ubuntu Netbook Edition does not require an Atom processor. You can run it on your desktop if you wish. Personally I prefer CrunchBang. ![]()
in ubuntu, there was NE and NE 2d, counterintuitevely i think the 2d version was composited
