Topic: Netbook Edition on Desktop

Is it possible to install UNE (or for that matter other Notebook distros) on desktop PCs, or it just works for Atom processors?

WOW, kinda off-topic considering UNE is a Gnome remix.  Anyway, I've tried it on a desktop PC, and even though the desktop has a faster dual-core chip than my netbook's Atom, it ran extremely sluggishly.  Granted, this was one of the earlier Clutter-based implementations.

Ubuntu Netbook Edition does not require an Atom processor. You can run it on your desktop if you wish. Personally I prefer CrunchBang. smile

in ubuntu, there was NE and NE 2d, counterintuitevely i think the 2d version was composited
