lots of nice applications like gmrun or obmenu don't exist for Mandriva.

Did you port them over or use something else? If so what did you use?

Anyways that looks very sexy. Good job.

That did it, mate. Thanks a lot.

No problem dude. For future reference, make sure to keep an eye out for "rgb" when looking for something having to do with color. smile

The first one is my favorite by far. Simple, yet eloquent and very very pretty. big_smile

Good job Khaled!

In the "Draw hour hand" section towards the bottom, I'm pretty sure you need to change this line to whatever color you want it.

    -- Draw hour hand

    xh=xc+0.7*clock_r*math.sin(hours_arc)
    yh=yc-0.7*clock_r*math.cos(hours_arc)
    cairo_move_to(cr,xc,yc)
    cairo_line_to(cr,xh,yh)

    cairo_set_line_cap(cr,CAIRO_LINE_CAP_ROUND)
    cairo_set_line_width(cr,5)
 ////   cairo_set_source_rgba(cr,0.3,0.7,1,0.6)  /////
    cairo_stroke(cr)

Let me know if that works or not.

Thank you for this.

When I try opening files in /usr/bin with typical editors (nano, geany, and gedit) the files does not load properly. But conkywonky (which I know is CrunchBang exclusive) works just fine.

Can someone explain why and how I could properly edit these files using either a GUI or Terminal based editor.

Thanks ahead of time

Edit: Nano worked perfectly with /usr/bin/firefox but not at all with gcc or conky.

I just wanted to point this out because it makes me feel witty

Run this in a terminal or Alt+F2

send send send send send send send ls

i'm surprised noones linked 4chan.  if you stay away from the horrible-ness of some of the imageboards and go strictly to /wg/ i think you guys would be pleased at what you found there.

I didn't 'link' to 4chan /wg/ because of the serious NSFW part, but it is an amazing source.

Nice tutorial, thanks a lot big_smile

In all seriousness 4chan's /wg/ has a huge selection and its where I got most of my wallpapers.

But places like gnome-look/kde-look and Deviant Art are also great
