+1, Pulse Audio has no place in a lean linux distro.
Apoptygma Berzerk - Rocket Science (using MoC of course)
Jinnstar,
Gain experience at home, by doing your own projects using "enterprise" software. Setup a CentOS virtual machine using VirtualBox and use it as a sandbox. Install and configure Apache, setup Drupal or Alfresco. Learn bash scripting. Learn the linux admin basics: user admin/permissions, backup and restore, kernel modules, command line tools. Make sure your knowledge of general networking concepts is strong: VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP Basics, etc. These are all things you can brush up on in your free time.
Once you feel more comfortable with some of the big linux enterprise software packages, put them as skills on your resume, and highlight them when you interview.
Jinnstar,
I don't really think Linux certifications are important when looking for a job as a linux admin. Enterprise Linux experience, confidence, and ability to learn new skills are all incredibly important, and if that comes across when you interview you should be successful. Also use soft skills to set yourself apart while interviewing, if you come off as a team player willing to be flexible that will help.
Good Luck in your search!
