Wow, thanks, installed on eee and using it now. I've tried dozens of distros, I, think with the 701 2GB size is a challenge, this is the only one that's worked,
If I can use it anyone can!
Congratulations on Cruncheee and thanks again,
Tim

DUH!
So sorry, please delete my post. The battery was er.... flat.
I see mine was the 100th post, still the other 99 were good!
Thanks for the reply, sorry for wasting peoples time.

Hi.
Just put Cruncheee on a usb stick with unetbootin, did esc and boot menu ok, tried to boot the default setting on my eee 701 2GB surf and it shut down.
Tried again and the eee shut down straight away.
Took out the stick, turned on eee and it shut down straight away.
The stick had two partitions on a 2.6 FAT one and a 0GB according to Windows but probably 1.4GB one probably in a "linuxy" format. I had tried Nimblex on the stick but deleted it to clean it up". I had installed Crunchee to the 2.6GB partition on Windows.
If I leave the eee a little while between tries I get a brief flash of the grey eee screen, if I turn it back on straight away the two little green lights just come on and go off again.
I hope this does not discourage people as I am very bad at computers!
Any ideas? Directions to other forums very welcome too.
Thanks,
Tim
