Hi everyone,
I'm returning to Crunchbang after a long time away from Linux and computers in general and so far I'm very impressed with Statler which I have running on my Acer laptop.
However, I can't seem to get Gwibber to connect to either my Twitter or my Facebook account. It's the version of Gwibber from the repositories, and every time I run it I get an error message as follows:

HTTPError: HTTP Error 401: Unauthorised

How can I get round this?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to raise some money to buy an Apple MacBook Pro so I have reluctantly decided to offer my Dell Latitude X1 laptop for sale to UK-only forum members.

I would have put it on eBay but I've had such a bad experience with Nigerian scammers on the site that I'm only viewing that as a last resort.

Anyway, the X1 - you could call it one of the first netbooks because it's tiny. It has a lovely, wide-aspect 12.1inch WXGA display with a matte finish. The screen is flawless.

The processor is a 1.1GHz Intel Centrino Pentium M 733. There's 512MB of RAM and the hard disk is 30GB.

There's an Intel/PRO Wireless adaptor on board which works with pretty much every Linux distro I've tried - and works especially well with CrunchBang 9.04, which is the current OS on the X1. Plus, there's a slot for an ethernet adaptor and there's also built-in Bluetooth.

The X1 has a front-based SD card slot, a side-mounted Compact Flash slot, a Firewire slot and VGA-out slot, plus two USB slots - one of which accepts the included external Dell CDRW/DVD drive.

The X1 originally came with Windows XP Home included and I still have all the original install discs and software/driver discs which will be included in the purchase price.

This laptop has been very well looked-after, there are only a couple of very feint marks on the lid - the case is a brushed-metallic grey colour which matches the external CDRW/DVD.

The 3-cell battery works fine, although you'll only get an hour and a bit out of it, so I recommend buying a 6-cell - they're widely available, cost about £35 and give you more than 3 hours of use.

The keyboard on the X1 is a joy to use - it has just the right amount of feel and, even though the X1 is a small laptop, there's still enough spacing to make it perfectly possible to input large amounts of text.

The original mains adaptor is also included in the sale, and I'll throw in a Kensington USB travel mouse, which comes in its own little bag.

Over the last few years this laptop has worked beautifully with CrunchBang, Zenwalk and PC LinuxOS and, as I stated earlier, it currently runs CrunchBang 9.04. I've been using a 3 mobile broadband dongle (Huawei E220) with it to get online while I'm out and about - it works really well.

I'm very fond of this laptop, so I'm hoping to get reasonable, sensible offers - it originally cost me close to £1100 a few years ago. Initially I'll take offers from anyone who is interested rather than laying down a fixed price. If I don't think the highest bid is reasonable, I reserve the right to withdraw the X1 from sale.

I would regard this laptop as being at least as good as some of the current crop of netbooks available, so that gives you a rough starting point for your bids.

PLEASE NOTE - I only want to sell this within the UK to avoid any Customs tax/parcel delivery problems. Once I have accepted a final offer from someone, I will find out exactly what the postage costs are and contact the successful bidder via PM to let them know how much to add on. Let's say we give this a week and see how we get on.
