Topic: Thank You Moderators

Every once in a while, especially when reading an Intros post, it occurs to me how lucky I was to stumble into a community like #! Other communities are NOT like ours.

I think a lot of it has to do with caliber of the people involved. We have a lot of smart people here, and maybe the best of us seem to be the Moderators, who keep those of us asking "dumb questions," from getting squashed, flamed, or forced back into using a Windows machine.

These people are nice enough to give their time and help the rest of us out when we do something... outside the guidelines. Patiently. Diplomatically. When I'm sure they might like to be choking the life out of us/me, if we were in the same room. smile

So, while I'm sure it's been said before, I'm saying it again: Thanks. You-all make this a great place to visit.

It is indeed interesting how the least annoying fellows tend to worry about such things the most.

I really like how subtle the #! mods are. An edited post here, a PM there. On most other boards- including Linux distro boards - mods behave like Judge Dredd...

What distinguishses the #! forum from others is not only that the moderators are intelligently courteous, but they also seem to know the solutions to all the problems. Knowledge and politeness rarely go together in this day and age. So, Thanks!

CrunchBang Staff is "excellent". All of them are really involved with the community and the topics.
I had been always visiting and reading the forums but what a great choice I made to open an account.

IMHO, this is a perfect example of what a real Linux community should be. 
It feels like home, and there's no question why it's always mentioned as one of the reasons to use, keep using and love CrunchBang. In the end, the community is part of the quality of your whole Linux experience.

A++ Community, every member gives this distro a plus.
