Topic: Installing Google Chrome in Debian

I'm not sure if I've posted something similar to this before. In any case this is a new version that can be used with CrunchBang.

Re: Installing Google Chrome in Debian

Hey omns smile

I would really like to run Chrome, or even Chromium, but I struggle with its font rendering. I wish I could get it sorted, but I so far I have not had much luck. sad

Re: Installing Google Chrome in Debian

@corenominal - its more or less a known issue:

That said, which font rendering settings are you trying use?

BTW if you wish to contact me, send me an e-mail instead of a PM.

Re: Installing Google Chrome in Debian

^ yes I know. I have tried numerous different settings, including those mentioned in the thread, but I have had no luck. sad I will continue to look at it from time to time, but I have already spent too much time trying to fix it. I will stick with Iceweasel for the time being.

Re: Installing Google Chrome in Debian

Hi corenominal smile

I'm using the font configuration outlined here and am quite happy with the font rendering in Chrome. That said, and now that you've pointed it out, there is a slight difference on some pages ( not all, just the pesky ones like crunchbanglinux.org tongue ). This is really going to bug me now roll lol
