Topic: problems with PCMCIA eth card (3Com 3ccfe574bt)

Hi, I try yesterday to install CB on an old Toshiba satelite 4010CDS.

During text install, the link LED of the eth card light normaly and the install program download all it want on the net.

Now, when I start the notebook, the eth card is not detected.

ifconfig show only loop interface
lspci show only the two pcmcia slots but without anything in them.

I tried to force loading module 3c574-cs with modprobe but the card stay unknowed

What kind of command I can try now ???

I had this exact same problem on an old laptop. Maybe installing the pcmciautils package will fix it:

Of course you'll have to download the package on another computer with net access, eg as a deb file, and install it manually. roll
