Sorry, but if i look at the price tags, i think, that's definitely to expensive. They even charge you 11,90 Euros for a linux-preinstall... I'd rather go to my local cheapo-dealer and build a rig from scratch. At (in Germany) KCN, a prebuilt nonOS-rig costs me a bit more than half the price than above shop wants: http://kcn-computer.de/.

Very pricey, but looks like used stuff. If there was a warranty on the thinkpads batteries...  roll

Thanks for your hint, KCN is really cheap - new for me. The barebone "Home Entry Athlon X2 7850+" is really cheap for about 189.- € (300.- $).

The stuff from AfB-Shop (in Germany) is used stuff with 1 year of service. The Batteriepacks of notebooks are not included in the latter service.

Pancakes
1 cup all-purpose flour, 2 eggs, 1 cup of  milk, 3 tbs water, 1-2 tsp of vanilla extract, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 apple, few grains of salt
Preheat your pan or griddle to about medium heat. Slowly combine the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, work in sliced apple. Each pancake should take about a minute or so on each side. Serve with plum jam, maple syrup, or powdered sugar

@Kuno & hochrappenkopf: If you feel like having a private conversation, why don't you try the PM feature? ;-)

However, I once ordered from kcn and everything went fine. Might be a good start.

I'm so meta, even this acronym

Well, thanks for your comment - in the future I'll stay at english conversation.

My targeted German post is now translated in English language.

Re: Best Place to Buy Linux / No OS Computers?

For anyone in the central United States, there's a non-profit outfit in St. Louis that I occasionally volunteer at called ByteWorks (information about ByteWorks can be found at http://stlbyteworks.org/about/).  I bought my current computer from there in November of 2008, and it originally had Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) on it (naturally, I now have Crunchbang Statler Xfce edition on there).
