Good plan. ^_^ Yellow is the only one that lets you actually catch them all (well, all but one).

From the few episodes I've watched. it helps you with which Pokemon are weakest against which. It's actually pretty helpful. Also, might be an idea to look up a type chart, they've been kept the same over the "generations".

I assume you know of the "generations", right? (Yellow at first, then Red, Blue and Green together etc).

Also, I think I'm watchin' you on DeviantART, under the name Knife Licker. If not, I'm goin' to do so now!!

^_^

Nice! Thanks for the watch! Just watched you back.

Also, you might be a nerd if you've been playing with an old server recently, in my case, an old Compaq Proliant DL380.

If you shop for electronics parts for tube guitar amplifiers instead of watching porn, does that make you an amp tech nerd or just a tone snob?

Re: you might be a nerd if...

You might be a geek (this thread needs to renamed to "You might be a nerd/geek if...") if you spent the past few days reading rpg books for several different systems and planning adventures you can run in them despite the fact you can only find one person that shows interest and would be willing to play. (you need at least 3 players for most rpgs, including the gm)

Then again it could just be the fact that I'm trying to get my little brothers to play. One really likes board/tabletop so that isn't a problem for him, the other just wants to play video games. hmm

Re: you might be a nerd if...

I got this super nerdy Tron Mouse in the mail a couple days ago!
http://www.cpubuilds.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Razer-TRON-Gaming-Mouse-and-Mousepad-Bundle.jpg
The trails on the mouse pad aren't nearly as cool looking IRL as they are in the pics but I kinda figured as much. I got it because it's ambidextrous and 5700 dpi, but the nerd-factor is an added bonus.

Re: you might be a nerd if...

@mynis01, what you need to do is hack the mouse pad to sense the mouse and leave a light trail using LEDs. Maybe a capacitive touch sensor in the pad that would work similar to a touch pad on a laptop, but with light being the output opposed to the cursor moving.

I think that might qualify for "you might be a nerd if..." ...

Paranoia, hunter and maybe merp work okay for one shot stories. If the one shot turns out okay, you can move on onto a full chronicle.  Also, if this is your first time as a master, try to master some experienced players adventure, so they can coach you a little bit about it (doing it just fine is waaaaay harder than it seems).

You might be a nerd if you give rol advices to people over the internet (?)

I actually been interested in running tabletop rpgs for a few years, and read several articles and rulebooks on various systems, I have no interest in the rules heavy systems. (I have nothing against crunch, I'm fine with that as long as I don't need 100+ rulebooks/splatbooks/mininatures/other crap game developers think I need to play the game)

So considering that I think it would be rather easy to run fudge or s&w, both rules-light systems that are also free to download and print. Once I try that I am considering giving other systems a try, such as paranoia which does look like a fun game to run.

Also the problem with what you said is I don't know anyone else who role plays, expect my uncle who lives on the other side of the world, so this is my only chance to play at the moment.

I had Debian on my mom's old laptop and got my brother into Ubuntu...both have since switched back to Windows 7 because they couldn't fully understand how to do things, couldn't stand that when someone wanted them to download a program, that they couldn't download the .exe file and run that to install things. rofl

My brother was actually able to understand and run things fine, and still didn't like it enough.

Once I got my wife to switch however, she never wants to go back to a Windows OS again. She really likes what Fuduntu looks like right now and thinks she wants that on her new laptop. She loves Openbox.

I'm currently a nerd drooling over receiving my Raspberry Pi...

Re: you might be a nerd if...

You have 4 different Linux LiveCD's and a BSD LiveCD, and have installed one or more of them before. I have Crunchbang, Fedora GNOME, Ubuntu Server, Tiny Core, and GhostBSD LXDE LiveCD's burned off currently, and I installed Ubuntu Server on the ProLiant DL380, and am trying to install it on the PowerEdge 700 that's just been taking up space not being used for a while.

I also installed Crunchbang on my ancient PC at home, and Fedora on an Optiplex GX280 in class that was being EXTREMELY problematic on XP, fixing the PC as a result. I also installed GhostBSD on an HP that I rehabilitated, but it was only on there temporarily, might put it back on there if the XP that's installed on it starts being extremely problematic too.

If that's all it takes to quallify as a nerd then I suspect there would be more than a few uber-nerds lurking about these forums. I'm looking at a large stack of live CD's and DVD's to the left of my desk and have a couple in the glovebox in my car. I also keep a multiboot thumb drive in the inside pocket of my jacket with some recovery tools and several installable distros on it. That goes with me whenever I leave the house. You just never know when it might be needed for an emergency Win-ectomy. wink
