Topic: Anyone want a website or art designed & developed for free?
Hi all.
So i am a computer science student, but I am also working towards becoming a website developer (freelancing).
I have strong skills and can easily make some very good websites with complex features, but my portfolio is weak. It's not that my current work isn't strong, its just that I don't have a lot of work.
So I'm offering my skills to any small businesses, or even personal landing sites, band websites, or really anything else you might like a site for (besides your dog). It's not that I don't have experience doing this work, it's simply that I haven't been given the opportunity.
I am putting the finishing touches on my personal website which should go up in the coming weeks (probably the end of April after my exams). This includes a current portfolio, but honestly what do you have to lose, its free!
The only thing you will have to pay for is the hosting of your website. I recommend www.nearlyfreespeech.net for this, as they charge you based on what you use. If your site isn't very popular, you pay cents. I can take care of all of the hosting, and setting up anything you need (for example blogging software).
The only thing I ask in return is the ability to feature the website in my online portfolio.
I will also do art, such as for posters, magazines, album covers, or anything else you can think of. Same terms as my website development, it's free, but I need the ability to feature it in my portfolio.
If your wondering why I chose this forum to post this, I find crunchbangers to be the most friendly group of people I've met, and this post will reach a wide audience.
If your curious, here are some of my technical proficiencies:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Dreamweaver
- Adobe Premier Pro (for video)
- HTML
- CSS
- Javascript
- PHP
- Wordpress (and themes)
- MySQL
- myPhpAdmin
- cPanel
- FTP
- SVN / git
If this interests you , PLEASE email me at fellgrail (at) gmail (dot) com . I will accept as many requests as I can, and will do them in the order I receive them. It shouldn't take very long depending on how complex the requirements are. Development will start close to April 20th.
