Ok this is my last entry for March! Some of us are still in March here for another 5 hrs 45 min ![]()
I saw a "Windows 7 - Pirated Edition" wallpaper the other day so I figured why not:
I went looking and found the right wallpaper and with "Pieces of Eight" font created a:
"Crunchbang Pirated Edition - sorry ... It's FREE!" wallpaper!
with Conky:
The "brown" days on the actual calendar come from the program remind and the 2 entries below from conkyText that I have setup to read 12 text files (jan.txt to dec.txt) for birthdays and anniversaries.
Those are 1280x1024 if anyone is interested I have a 1280x1024 without text and the original:

what script you are using for showing the colour examples?
It's just a simple script I grabbed from somewhere and modded. You can use it for ANSI colors, ascii art, whatever you want.
#!/bin/sh
# ANSI Color -- use these variables to easily have different color
# and format output. Make sure to output the reset sequence after
# colors (f = foreground, b = background), and use the 'off'
# feature for anything you turn on.
initializeANSI()
{
esc=""
blackf="${esc}[30m"; redf="${esc}[31m"; greenf="${esc}[32m"
yellowf="${esc}[33m" bluef="${esc}[34m"; purplef="${esc}[35m"
cyanf="${esc}[36m"; whitef="${esc}[37m"
blackb="${esc}[40m"; redb="${esc}[41m"; greenb="${esc}[42m"
yellowb="${esc}[43m" blueb="${esc}[44m"; purpleb="${esc}[45m"
cyanb="${esc}[46m"; whiteb="${esc}[47m"
boldon="${esc}[1m"; boldoff="${esc}[22m"
italicson="${esc}[3m"; italicsoff="${esc}[23m"
ulon="${esc}[4m"; uloff="${esc}[24m"
invon="${esc}[7m"; invoff="${esc}[27m"
reset="${esc}[0m"
}
# note in this first use that switching colors doesn't require a reset
# first - the new color overrides the old one.
initializeANSI
cat << EOF

${boldon}${blackf} :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::${reset}

@sunjack, I gave up for the systray in tint2
I have to admit it's something really strange. I didn't have so many problems on the changing of systray. ![]()
well, I will use the awesome systray and will allow some space for 2 or three icons ![]()

That the first thing came up on google search result, when i searching some infos about wmfs, and found out that West Midlands Fire Service is more popular than Window Manager From Scratch. ![]()
Yes, i install it from the source, and reconfigure the wmfsrc to suit my need.
Thank you.

That's why I used that. I had NO IDEA what WMFS was, but when I saw the "Fire Service" pop up first, I KNEW it wasn't that. It was good for a chuckle though.

@muzieka - liking your stuff, colorful yet simple.
@jinnstar - very cool look you got there, wallpaper's great and the rest just sort of gently frames it.
@mahatman - very cool as well, you managed to get a lot of bright colors in there without making them clash horribly...which is quite an accomplishment!
@gutterslob: Thanks ![]()
@gutterslob
After i'm looking again at your screenshot, i'm noticing something different from your previous one, it's the font. Similar to ProFontWindows, but i think it's not ProFontWindows, would you please tell me the font name you are using on the screenshot? I've search around for a while but haven't found the font that look just like yours. I really like this kind of font, with slashed zero and rounded 'a'.
Thanks in advance.
>> Muzieca
It's the infamous MonteCarlo.pcf Link = http://www.bok.net/MonteCarlo/
Install it the same way you would install Artwiz.
Not quite as relaxing as the almighty Terminus over long periods, but it's spaced well and tends to work just as good on top of light or dark backgrounds.
Edit:
Btw, you can use the ao1 patch that comes with Terminus to give it a more typical "a".
All Terminus character variants listed here = http://terminus-font.sourceforge.net/

Thank you for the informations, i really appreciated it. I'm going to grab both of them now.
And yes, the almighty Terminus is still the best font for me too. ![]()
