Re: May 2011 Screenshot Thread
That site doesn't look at all familiar
Could be though. Every month or so I go wallpaper shopping and save them all in one big folder so when it comes to tracking them down again I have no idea where they came from
You and I obviously got instructions from the same guy! So frustrating at times.
And then to make things worse I rename things like "exgaf537454343.png" to something that helps describe the wallpaper, like "The_Room.png, Dog.jpg" ![]()
Re: May 2011 Screenshot Thread
@hhh - Thanks for finding that font. I searched until I was bug-eyed. How did you find it?
@Elder, I downloaded http://exchange.enlightenment.org/theme/show/534 and then installed libedje-bin from sid. Switched to my Downloads folder in a terminal and ran edje_decc [filename] to extract it, then opened the main config file and searched for "font" till I found one that made sense. Google did the rest.
Some people get awards for "going above and beyond the call of duty", so to speak, and if #! had one you'd be a shoe in for it. You did all that just to find a font. WoW! Double-Thank you x 10!!
@S11 - I love that x-ray effect! I do need a room like that where I can just go and chill. Now I need to ask you for that wallpaper AND Conky lol!
I think we all do at sometime or other. I wasn't sure how this would be accepted since it was your wall, your display. But since I like darker themes, and saw that when I saw the white room, I couldn't help myself. I branded it your place on purpose. While doing that the "home theater" idea struck, google found a nice flat screen TV, and GIMP rebuilt it to your room size and added the #! symbol. Conky redesigned the electronics to show the clock/calendar on the screen when you're not watching a movie. ![]()
On another subject, I am back on Fluxbox. I remember seeing an awesome Matrix theme a couple of weeks ago on here and it's been on my mind so I tried it out. I'm not entirely happy with it but...
That's what I meant, fluxbox - E-17 - FB - E-17.
Do you have them setup as sessions?
The greens are all the same, making it hard so see, two ideas, fade the wallpaper down a bit or use a different "matrix" wallpaper with a contrast to compliment the greens of your conky and other parts.
Like the vertical parts of that wallpaper near the bottom. The "matrix" would be there, but in such a way that things would stand out more. Just a thought. I'm a Matrix fan.

btw, this is my wallpaper right now, if you are interested.Sector11
Nice conky and wallpaper too, and i also love the choice of the font too.
I grabbed it, I like that.
Well in all honesty the wallpaper came from Elder along with the font via hhh ![]()
Thanks for the comments though.

YW, worth it. Took 20 minutes and it's a cool-ass font. ![]()
Re: May 2011 Screenshot Thread
Wow! can you share gtk & ob themes?
No "ob" theme : it's WMFS, not Openbox ...
The GTK theme can be found here (go to "shebang") : http://crunchbanglinux-fr.org/forum/vie php?id=707

Yup, I have to agree!

@Joe 772 - I really like ubo icons, and the color / style should go well with that. http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/

also your gtk looks pretty good, but you may look into shiki-human-dust http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/

@ Joe 772 beautiful picture, it's a good background! Icons: maybe ACYL.
@ Bobrossw thanks for the link to ubo. They're great!

@ElderV
The hot air balloon desk this month is my favorite E17 shot ever. That use of color, minimal use of widgets, and the wallpaper was just too perfect. Even the clock pulls on it. Just beautiful man. U really know how to use baby blue better than I've seen yet. I makes me want some cotton candy though.
Ha, ha. Thanks man. Obviously I didn't do any of the artwork or themes though I just put a bunch of stuff together. Cool thing about E17 is that you can pick bits and pieces of any theme and use a GUI to mix and match easily. I think (not including the wallpaper) that was a combination of 4 different themes.
I see a lot of themes are being released with the "unbranded" version just recently like this one:
Anyway for something different here's this:
@ Muzieca - Nice Matrix wallpaper but as you can see I have a short attention span and I've moved to a blue alien desktop. That background would have looked much better than the one I used because it was too much green as S11 said.

Re: May 2011 Screenshot Thread
Recently I could not post screenshots due to size limitation at imageshack. I am now running dual monitors and the screenshots are larger than imageshack will allow. So, after some searching, I found an image hosting service that can host my large images, 3mb hosting. [link]
And now for my latest screenshot...
I have two different sized monitors: 1440x900; 1280x1024 which makes the wallpaper appear cut off from one.
Re: May 2011 Screenshot Thread
@joe772, really great. love those colors.
Here's my screenshot for this month (so far): AwesomeWM, wallpaper from a guy called boneface. It's really awesome, you should check his stuff out (and I hope he doesn't mind me using this as my wallpaper
)

Thanks! I installed that icon pack, looks really sick. he hasn't gotten to a lot of things yet though (or maybe I'm just not doing it right. I've never done icons before) Things like volume, network and battery are all still stock =/. other than that, thanks!
Re: May 2011 Screenshot Thread
^yeah, the pack is still in 'alpha' which seems odd as far as a bunch of icons are concerned. I've fixed some of the missing thing by going in the ubo directory and comparing the names of things to their counterparts in other iconsets (like gnome or human). Then I make symlinks and change names to the appropriate ones. It's a bit work intensive but it works for most stuff. At the end, some tint2 icons still don't work, and this seems to be the case in all WMs. I think some specific programs actually override your theme.

Re: May 2011 Screenshot Thread
@cbluser, macondo : I think that that theme is actually a firefox theme. IDK what it's called but it might be something like "milk" or something. GOod luck! ![]()
