Topic: Howto: Have Wifi unlocked on start
Just in case someone still needs this (it's the first google result for "crunchbang disable keyring"), here's a quick way of doing it with #! Statler Openbox (XFCE should be able to use this too):
1) Install seahorse (sudo aptitude install seahorse)
2) Run it
3) When it opens, you should get a "password:login" or "password:default" line, under which it says stuff about your wifi password. Delete everything in sight.
4) Reboot. It'll ask for the wifi password. Insert it.
5) The keyring manager will pop up, asking you for a new keyring password. Click OK without inputting anything, then click on "use unsafe storage".
Done. The system will now always boot with the wifi enabled and without asking passwords. This is a mild security weakness because anyone with access to your system can now nab the wifi password, but for most people this isn't an issue.
