Rather than steal the wallpaper, I decided to give the WM a try - I'm liking it so far.

OK, I got sick of the Biebs so I had to switch it up. New wallpaper and some tweaks to tint2 roundness and opacity. Zzzzz....

Unia
I like the window decoration transparency, no buttons perhaps? smile

I like your screen, btw do you have any idea how to make the conky is still visible when the clients are opened? i've tried it, but no luck. sad

hardran3

@muzieca

Yes, you need to pipe conky to the status bar and call the script from the wmfsrc file.

wmfsconky.sh:

#!/bin/bash
hsetroot -center /mnt/share/images/night-night-1600x900.jpg &
conky | while read -r; do wmfs -s -name "$REPLY"; done

Then call wmfsconky.sh in the status_path line in the wmfsrc

status_path       = "~/.config/wmfs/wmfsconky.sh"

.conkyrc

out_to_x no
out_to_console yes
update_interval 1.0
total_run_times 0
use_spacer none
TEXT
Uptime: ${uptime_short} | CPU: ${cpu}%  |  Mem: ${memperc}%  |  MB: ${execpi 60 ~/conky/mbtemp} °C  |  CPU: ${execpi 60 ~/conky/CpuTemp.sh} °C  |  Sda: ${execpi 60 ~/conky/Temp01.sh} °C  |  Sdb: ${execpi 60 ~/conky/Temp02.sh} °C  |  Sdc: ${execpi 60 ~/conky/Temp03.sh} °C  |  Eth1 Down: ${downspeedf eth1}  Up: ${upspeedf eth1}  |  Eth0 Down: ${downspeedf eth0}  Up: ${upspeedf eth0} | ${time %k:%M}

Re: June 2011 Screenshot Thread

@PackRat
Thanks, yes i remember i'm using that method too. Piped in conky to wmfs bar is the best way to run conky in WMFS.
But i'm also wondering why 'own_window_type panel' is not working on WMFS. It works just fine in AwesomeWM. big_smile

@replicant
Yes, and Inconsolata is one of the best programmer font, but i am still prefer Terminus though. smile

@DarthWound
Beautiful as always, my friend. smile

Re: June 2011 Screenshot Thread

Here's my latest. Still need to change a few things on tint2, mostly the opacity and maybe making it a bit darker.

that does look good... a couple of positioning issues here and there big_smile
but i would be interested to see how the fade/transparency effect on the ring meters works

i need to find a "theme" and put together a complete unified conky

It's hard to find something if you don't know what you're looking for.
I have a blog, it's mostly about conky and lua stuff... go here.
