I don't mind using torrents, but no one is seeding the openbox amd64 version right now, and the links are dead on limirror posted above, can someone please seed?

Edit - I did find this link while searching around, its a bit older of an image, but I've seen that you can update it once installed: http://crunchbang.linuxfreedom.com/download.html

HTH someone, I will continue my torrent though, hopefully someone will seed and I can keep it running.

I'm in Texas and just downloaded the torrent to check if it's working [don't need it myself].  It immediately connected to 32 peers.  Now 38 of 40.  I doubt that me having this for you would help, but I'll let it run all day.  wink

Crap. I don't have it to seed. Maybe grab the Xfce version and [sudo apt-get install/remove] 'til it's what you want...

Anybody got a better idea?

That would work.  wokka could download xfce, install the multi-desktop preference offered in cb-welcome and have two-for-one.  Regardless, Ill keep torrent open on my end to 600pm CST.

I will be seeding both Openbox ISOs and the i686 XFCE ISO through Monday afternoon...barring any power outages, which, given the current local weather and the rather decrepit state of my town's electrical infrastructure, are always a threat this time of year.

Re: Any alternatives to using 'Torrent' software for Crunchbang download?

Ok, will do the same guys, will download both versions and seed them. Oh, but 32 or 64 bit preferred or all of them, I have a pretty fast connection? smile

Re: Any alternatives to using 'Torrent' software for Crunchbang download?

^ If you've the room to spare, do all four like I'm trying, although TBH I've only seen hits on the 32bit #!.  My netbook is OK, my cable connection is probably betterhmm

Re: Any alternatives to using 'Torrent' software for Crunchbang download?

if you need it, I have copies of the unaltered torrent iso images. I can mirror them on my server.

#! Statler
vaporeon: Quad-core i5, 8GB ram, laptop
Windows 7 sad (avoiding driver hell)
seaking: Quad-core i5, 16GB ram, desktop, will install waldorf when available

Re: Any alternatives to using 'Torrent' software for Crunchbang download?

Is there a difference between mirroring a distro and making a torrent available?  You's best ask corenominal, the developer, or bobobex, his missus.  wink

EDIT -- <oops>  Misread your post, didn't I?

Ok, the work can begin.

Re: Any alternatives to using 'Torrent' software for Crunchbang download?

Just an update -- I downloaded all four versions of #! and ran them to a ratio of 2.00 on Transmission these past few days which should make me about even for all the downloads I've made.  smile  I noticed that, much to my surprise, the Xfce i686 version was being accessed more than the others.  I use this version myself so have decided to keep it [and only it] running much of the time I'm online and arbitrarily set its ratio for 5.00 on Saturday morning and it's already at 3.65big_smile

This is all so interesting for me -- I couldn't do it before due to lack of space on my ASUS 701 4G with added 1GB RAM -- that's all changed now.  Y'all take care, I'm out of this thread.  wink

Re: Any alternatives to using 'Torrent' software for Crunchbang download?

^ Yeah, did the same my friend. Still seeding all spins. wink

Re: Any alternatives to using 'Torrent' software for Crunchbang download?

^ Seeding 3 of 4 Spins (OB/XFCE32, OB64) smile

Re: Any alternatives to using 'Torrent' software for Crunchbang download?

Meh.  Seems a shame not to seed all four versions so I downloaded them and started Transmission.  Three of four being accessed.  How do I know ahead of time what someone may want.  Linux is about choice, right?  smile
