Re: Im back.. :)

Random update, been busy sorry for absence smile
Projects up and running, alpha's rolling out daily smile

If I were in America I could say "I love you, dad", the way they do in the films. But in Limerick they'd laugh at you. In Limerick you are only allowed to say you love God, and babies, and horses that win. Anything else is softness in the head

Re: Im back.. :)

Hey there ikey!!!

'Course you don't know me, but from what I gather about you, this is goin' to be rather awesome.

Just glancing at the web page gives me chills. I bet this Distro is goin' to be a silver bullet!! Polished, streamline and one that will hit the target. XD

Also, I've got a blog called Soulilous. Coincidence!?!?!

Anyways, I'm not so great at The Linux, but if there's ANYTHING that I can do to help, just let me know!!!

Good look with you project, I'm positive it really is goin' to be grat!! (No pressure then? Hahahaha).

If I make people laugh, that makes me pleasant, right?

What if I make people laugh about unpleasant things?

Grabbing the iso to give it a whirl.

Re: Im back.. :)

@Hinto; please give us a report of your whirl, have been tempted myself, but have made a holy promise
not to take the "whirl/spin" route back into the bottomless abyss of distro hopping.

@ikey; you are forgiven!

@ikey
Boots nice and fast in a VM (VM Player guest)  I see that it uses Gnome 2 and the PAE kernel.
What are your plans for Gnome 3 (are you gonna bag is or use something like Cinnamon?)
Also are you planning 64 bit?
I suppose it's all on your site?
Anyway great job...

Re: Im back.. :)

It's an absolutely gorgeous distro, not overloaded with apps and ikey said he hopes to get it below 700MB as an iso.  Cool.  The only issue I had was that Firefox crashed before it opened -- several times.  This on Alpha 22.  I'm tempted to make a new partition on my 1015PEM once this is a bit more roadworthy but it's worth the look as is.  big_smile

^If I didn't say what dubois said, I meant to.  It's really nice.

Re: Im back.. :)

Thanks guys! Sorry for late-reply, never got an email hmm
I'm gonna put 64-bit builds up relatively soon.
@hinto: Not too keen on Gnome 3 tbh. I only look for
truly stable stuff to use. I'll shop around before I make
a decision.
@dubois: Glad you like it man, and yeah I have a soft-spot
for having stuff just work, not a fan of the whole "thou shalt
not have non-free magicks" school of thought.
Obviously I'll have to make a *free* ISO for certain countries though.
@ShadeOfHades: glad to see you on my forums dude smile

^Nice
Not too keen on Gnome 3, either.  One of the reasons I landed here.  As always, great work.  I'll install it for "real" when the 64 bit is available.

Re: Im back.. :)

Ok. Gonna be a few weeks before 64-bit I'm afraid.
#32 is now out and I'm stabilising the base.
