Topic: IceWM one weird little annoyance
In IceWM I have conky running on the desktop.
When I shutdown the laptop, it puts up a pop-up saying that I will lose unsaved changes from conky if I shutdown.
Is there a way to stop this warning ?

Hmm, i don't use conky.
A shot in the dark: did you save/exit from your editor when you change things in your .conkyrc?
Do you restart icewm to make changes effective? Ctrl+Alt+Delete+r?
Using the same conkyrc I have used for a couple of years, I saved the changes long ago.
Yes I restarted IceWM.
It seems that conky being a running program IceWM expects output to be saved.
Is conky started in icewm startup or in .xinitrc?
If you use .xinitrc to enter the X system, you should have a line like this:
conky &Conky is started in IceWM startup.
I use xsessions, as my Debian install began with, no .xinitrc.
None of the other window managers or Xfce give a warning about conky on shutdown.
The line in my IceWM startup is
sleep 3 && conky -c .conkyrc-wm &Just for the hell of it, put:
conky &to see what happens...
