Topic: [solved] something overrideing feh background

I tried the commands in http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … gin=1]this thread, and now my background is getting overridden every time I start openbox. Feh starts with the proper image, but is quickly overridden. And I still have my right click openbox menu. Nautilus should not be starting, and even if it does, it's set to not draw the background. Aside from Nautilus and Gnome, what could be doing this?

Re: [solved] something overrideing feh background

Openbox uses nitrogen by default to set the wallpaper by default in statler. You can check and see if nitrogen is set to auto start by looking in ~/.config/openbox/autostart.sh and if it isn't nitrogen causing the problem, you can use a program like rcconf to see if some kind of Nautilus or Gnome daemon is set to auto start.

Re: [solved] something overrideing feh background

I'm so sorry, I forgot to mention I'm using openbox in Ubuntu 11.04. Usually it's ok to post window manager stuff here, regardless of os, but hell, if I forget to mention that...

It was gnome-settings-daemon, as explained in urukrama's blog, under 5.2.4.

edit: Where's the solved button?

You can just edit your first post and add [SOLVED] to the title smile
