Topic: which one?

Alright so getting an itch to start using a tiling WM. wondering which one i should go for

currently checking out the following

scrotWM
AwesomeWM

I'm also very much open to other suggestions. the only thing is while more than willing to learn new things would still appreciate slight user friendlyness. (preferably not ubuntu style friendly lol)

Re: which one?

well at this point i have tried out the following for a little bit with each one

Scrotwm (like it still installed)
wmii (did not like really)
i3 (removed but still showing in gdm)
ratpoison (about to test)
windowlab (will be tested after rat poison)
Evilwm (would love to try this one as i have heard alot about it but refuses to show in gdm chooser, so removed for now)

Re: which one?

To remove i3 from GDM, delete the desktop file for it in /usr/share/sessions . To create a GDM entry for evilwm, open an existing file in /usr/share/sessions with a text editor, rename it to evilwm.desktop and change the name line to name=evilwm and the exec line to exec=evilwm (or similar, I'm not on a Linux computer at the moment but it will be clear when you open a session entry file). BTW, evilwm is a stacking window manager, not tiling.
