I had some chocolate moose tracks the other night, that was pretty amazing. I finished off the last of my home made hummus for lunch today. It gets better every time I make it. Next time I think I'm going to make some like tomato, herb and olive oil relish to go on top.
Hummus... mmmm
What do you eat it on? Just curious
Hummus on lightly toasted french bread.. Mmm
I just eat it on chips, usually these:
^ Same here, only garlic bagel chips.
Another bot. Who'd have thought they'd be so interested in food? And his name was a giveaway, too, as we don't have a johnydepp1, 2, 3 so why choose the number 12 when you could have been number 1? I ain't saying nothing about his spelling and punctuation though.
Oh, I just had an asiago cheese roll with a nice slice of ham stuffed in the middle. ![]()
toasted german grey bread with homemade hoummos, pickled cocumber, aivar and parmesan.
edit: more hoummos makers here.. how do you do yours? my is without tahini this time, but blended with chili, dried tomatoe salt and olive oil. yum.

Does coffee count?? If so I am drinking a large cup of delicious coffee.
^ there's a coffee thread. you don't eat coffee, unless it has ultra stiff foamed milk with it.

I'm not hungry <shock> but thought to share a bit of a story about my 83 year old mother who'se come under my care -- my other brothers notwithstanding. She recently had a total hip and total knee replacement on her right leg, the operations being about 90 days apart. She healed nicely, had her physical therapy and is doing well, even to the point of walking away from her walker to do simple household tasks.
I usually get up early, um, because the two cats want me to, so was already enjoying the first sunshine and warmth coming through the front windows in seversal days when momma came tottering out to the kitchen. She'd made herself some grits yesterday and had some left over so she had refried grits for breakfast which caused her to remember scrapple which we enjoyed while living in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Now she wants to try her hand at making a modified scrapple to satisty her appetite.
So, she's better, her appetite's better and I'll reap the benefits of a hearty meal after months upon months of round the clock attention. Fair's fair, eh? ![]()

Tortilla de patatas. Do not think it is that Latin American thing, it is the real one. ![]()

I think that ramen noodles has kept us all alive at some time or another.
Good to see you back on the forums mahatman2.
Apples are good, redpointer. I like the honeycrisps from Canada best, but better than coffee?? If you drink Turkish Coffee like ivanovnegro brews it, then I'll agree that coffee is better than apples.
I just had a handful of pecans which may be my favorite nut to eat. With or without apples. ![]()
@dubois.. I like pecans, have 8 trees in my yard...
But my favorite nut is actually a hybrid of a hickory nut and pecan merged, we call them a Hecan, they are incredibly tasty.
2 trees are local to this area and another one growing on my land..
Hickory nuts! I ate a mess of those when I went to college in Virginia -- hard to get in but well worth the effort! ![]()
