Great job. I don't use GDM myself, but how about you use a Sans-Serif font the "LOGIN" part? Free Sans will do the trick, as all the distros have it.

It's an image file, so a bit of gimpery would be needed to make a sans-serif version.

Nice theme (to be honest I didn't really like the default #! gdm theme) - I've just installed it and will enjoy it as soon as I reboot.
