Topic: livarp, debian with six window managers

It is not often that I am in awe  for a new distro, but livarp 0.3 managed to do it.
It is the dream distro for DE/WM hoppers: http://arpinux.org/arpwiki/doku.php/start:livarp_03_gb

99% free (conky & flashplugin for the last 1%)
    light & stable: livarp is based on Debian Squeeze, one of the most stable ditro atm.
    anynoob-inside livarp is made for every user that can read and want to discover alternatives window-managers.
    6 sessions available from live to install: dwm, echinuswm, evilwm, pekwm, wmfs et wmaker.
    livarp est grey
    composite management with xcompmgr.
    no graphical session-manager: your session is launched by startx, then a clean zenity dialog window appears to let you choose your session.
    a unified menu for every session handled by compiz-deskmenu.

a very big THANK YOU !! to corenominal, to let me know about the "terminal" during my first installation of crunchbang7.10, to give me tips & advices about livecd building procedure, and for the way he's computing.. i've learned a lot with crunch, and livarp couldn't be done without that .. smile

and no, it's not you, i don't have any network-manager in livarp. you have to install it yourself if you need to...
..

i'm really sorry as there is no specific support anymore for livarp.. maybe it was not the right time to get it out big_smile

It's still really great work.  I will probably actually install it on a secondary hard drive on my desktop at home to "play" with all those cool WMs.  Love the login/environment choice, too.  Plus, the post install script had me brusing up on the 3 years of French I had in my undergrad days!

hi guys, sorry but my server has been hacked so, dont' go to any of my website arpinux.org or derivate (arpwiki, arpforum), a friend of mine had some trouble with my website so please, dont go ..

Sorry to hear about your server. Looking for the rebirth, you've done a great job!

May be not the best moment to ask, but are there any plans for making a 64bits version? or is your intention to keep it 'old hardware' oriented?

Very nice work, Arp.
I like the idea of a distro employing multiple minimalist window managers by default.

@arpinux: Excellent work! You certainly did a fantastic job on producing such an excellent live cd. What I like most about it is that it is 99% free software. Flash is a necessary evil at the moment, so I don't blame you for including it. The good thing is that it won't be too long before everything moves over to HTML 5 technology. smile

@anyone who wouldn't mind providing an opinion: Do you think that there is an advantage of using a 64-bit OS vs a 32-bit OS with a PAE kernel on a 64-bit system? I've read some mixed opinions about the matter and I was hoping someone could clear this up.
