Topic: gnome utilities no longer seem to want to launch in SLiM

hey folks,

might be a simple question to answer, but for some reason simple utilities such ans gnome-disk-utility and a few other applications i used to use on a regular basis are not running. are we still running gnome here or did someone sneak the KDE menace though the city gates when the guards were drunken again?

Re: gnome utilities no longer seem to want to launch in SLiM

gnome-disk-utility is a gtk3-application, judging its version number. This has nothing to do with slim, OTOH, only that gdm is replaced (because of the gtk3 dependencies)

apt-cache rdepends libgtk-3-0* | grep gnome

shows you which packages depend on gtk3.
