Topic: Xfce lost window borders/controls or decorations

I had this twice and for anybody to not panic, it is easy to solve should it happen at one time.

Since I use Xfce 4.8 under my Debian Wheezy system, two times after closing the session and going back I lost my window controls, the max/min buttons, it just vanished. I thought, wtf? Tried everything to get them back, rebooted, started a new session etc.

Googled a bit and found that I had to clear the session cache and voilà, I got the window controls back.

That is pretty much all. smile

Re: Xfce lost window borders/controls or decorations

If it does not work, untick "save session" after logging out from the logout manager and then log in back into your Xfce session. Of course you have to log out after clearing the session cache.

(This is why I like Openbox.)
