Topic: #! r20111125 Live USB (Broadcom)

Running #! r20111125 from a live USB on an Acer Aspire 4710 and Broadcom wireless (BCM4311) works "out of the box", which is great, because I'm in an area where I only have access to a wireless network smile

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on this machine requires proprietary drivers to be installed to get wireless to work. So now I can go ahead and install #! and update it and install the packages I need, etc. on this machine, all over wireless. Thanks corenominal and the Debian team and the back-ports team.

Happy holidays big_smile

Re: #! r20111125 Live USB (Broadcom)

Just installed r20111125 onto Acer Aspire 4710 and updating/installing packages over wireless now. Copied some config/setup files from netbook installation, so settings are the same on this laptop too big_smile

Re: #! r20111125 Live USB (Broadcom)

You actually need to thank the Broadcrap developers, as they're thew ones who wrote the open source brcsmac driver used in the backport kernel.

And thanks to the Broadcom developers for the driver! smile
