Re: January 2012 Screenshot thread

^I kinda feel like breakin out my Macbook Pro (aka The Paperweight ... was a present from a client), disabling the aqua UI and putting a tiler on top of Darwin. Just to give you guys some lulz =P

Contrary to Null, I like some of their hardware, but can't really agree with their UI, especially 10.3 onwards. To each his own, I guess.

@AwesomeFist, @pvsage: Yeah I know it doesn't look exact as it was a joke lol and AwesomeFist harsh words there! o.O I like the look of mac interfaces but I hate their philosophy so I thought I would mimic their interface on linux which I love =] also I needed a change from a tiling wm it has been a while since I used bloat software like GNOME lol

I wasn't saying that about you, but whenever I see a random image on deviantart or something, that's the kind of vibe I get from all these people copying the apple interface. I do like the elementary interface, it does copy the mac interface a bit, but not religiously and it doesn't have that "dreaded" apple logo. (I never liked logos like that when I was younger, and I still don't.)

@fist:  I still sometimes find myself pining for System 6.0.7; I've gone so far as trying to find a Debian version of Basilisk II. yikes  I actually found a functional binary of Mini vMac and a pirated ROM image...

It's a bunch of random Token icons, I have customised the icons in the dock only.  For everything else I am using Faenza.

How is it?

Re: January 2012 Screenshot thread

Since i promised in December to post in the January thread...

Clean
Busy (ncmpcpp, tint2 in auto-hide mode)
Logout menu (not mine, but i don't remember who the credits need to go to...)

The thin line is conky, and does not move: above is the conky/tint2 area, below is the "usable" area... Openbox has instructions about this in the rc.xml...

I'm still looking for another font for the time conky though: being "mono" is a must, more condensed could be better, any recommendations?

Thanks

Re: January 2012 Screenshot thread

^ no recommendations, but i hope for your sake that wallpaper is a shot of your girlfriend big_smile
