Topic: isohybrid #! release?

While I was roaming around for different distro to possibly try (I ended up w/ #! 10 nov),
I noticed crux has an isohybrid release.  In other words, the iso is burnable on CD and
copyable on an USB stick.

It would be nice if #! has this.   But...

How much extra work is involved?
How much extra space is needed?
What other developer's issue are there?

Re: isohybrid #! release?

This is my dd, there are many like it, but this one is mine.
My dd is my best friend. It is my life. I must master my dd, as I must master my life.
My dd, without me, is useless. Without my dd, I am…

Okay, I admit: I took the text from the Bash Coder's Creed and replaced "bash" with "dd".

I'm so meta, even this acronym

Re: isohybrid #! release?

^ and they adapted it from the Rifleman's Creed, as can also be heard in the movie 'Jarhead': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rifleman%27s_Creed

Re: isohybrid #! release?

I'd say the most popular movie with the Creed is Full Metal Jacket. By the way, rhowaldt: "they" refers to the number of wrinkles in my trollface right now, isn't it?

To get back on topic: Is this still correct? http://crunchbanglinux.org/wiki/statler … stallation

Re: isohybrid #! release?

^ agreed, but i don't remember it from Full Metal Jacket as well, simply because it has been longer ago since i seen that movie.
"they" refers to the number of wrinkles in your trollface indeed wink

Re: isohybrid #! release?

Ubuntu is pretty much the only distro that didn't do hybrid images until Oneiric Alpha 2 or something.

Cool! I didn't know that (probably overlooked the #! download page) that #! is isohybrid.
I'll try it out.
