multiple problems with new #!

Hey guys,
I haven't been on here in a  while because I kinda just lost intrest with the new ISO.  I never really like Openbox from when I first started and I never should have downloaded the new image.  But I take all the blame because I was just too curious and I like to keep things new . 
Any ways here are my problems:
I have an acer aspire one d257 and everything worked "out of the box" when I installed the last image. 
-now my acer FN keys dont work
-when ever I plug anything that uses the usb my computer flips out and act like its trying to reboot but it doesn't
-vlc shuts down on its own while playing any media
There's a couple of other things but right now I would like to get these solved.  I'm sure these problems have already been brought up and solved but I have been having a rough couple of months and I can't get on as much.  So I'm sorry if this is a repeat question.  Thanks as always.
