Topic: #! is the best Debian-based Distro

I have two quad-core desktops (one with dual monitors), an Acer laptop and an Acer netbook. I've been running #! on the netbook for several months, with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on the two desktops and various other distros (mainly also Ubuntu 10.04 LTS) on the laptop.

After months of trying any and all variants of Debian, Mint and the Ubuntus, over and over again, and around in circles again and again, I've finally taken the plunge and installed #! r20111125 on the netbook, the laptop and one of the desktops (I'll install it on the other desktop next week when I'm back in the office).

In my experience and opinion at least, #! is the best Debian-based distro smile Some of the key features for me are the backports (which means wireless on my laptop works natively), OpenBox (of course; I don't want to use anything else now), the stream-lined, sleek and snappy look and feel, the great set of default applications, the inclusion of Flash and the sensibly setup tint2 panel and OB menu.

I would second that "huge thank you" to corenominal as well.

As a Red Hat refugee back in his Debian roots, I would have to agree that #! is the best Debian-based distro.

I am so very happy I discovered #! when coming back to linux this week.  In the past I've used Mint (very briefly/recently on HTPC laptop), Arch (mostly), Ubuntu and tried Gentoo and Slackware but I couldn't be any happier with #!.  It looks fantastic, is lightweight, requires minimal setup post-install and just feels right smile  I love it so I had to donate.  Thanks.
