Topic: ITT: Biggest blunders of 2012 (so far!!).

Misery loves company, aye? And the best way to over-come a bad move, is to just laugh at your own silliness, right?

So......

What's the dumbest thing you've done this year so far!?!?

Idea for this topic came to me while I was takin' the RAM out of my laptop. I unscrewed the little pannel which it was behind, and then dropped a screw in there. Insiiiide my laptop. **Facepalm**

Luckily it rolled back out again without me havin' to take the thing TOTALLY to bits and hunt for it. tongue

Now you know my folly, care to share your own?

If I make people laugh, that makes me pleasant, right?

What if I make people laugh about unpleasant things?

Had a fight with the wife that was my fault entirely within the first minutes of this year, effectively ending a thouroughly joyful evening.

18!?!?!?! What do you plan on doin' with all those computers??? Are you goin' to open a store of some time? Rent them out? Make a data center????

It's only a problem when they take over the rest of your life. My suggestion would be to "hide" them in a draw or something, somewhere. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

Ah yeah, that is indeed quite a bugger when you're havin' to explain why there's such an expense under "wrench sockets" on your tax return. tongue

But may I remind you; computer hardware is open wiring. If I'd not of fished it out, and turned on my laptop, I could of frazzled the whole thing.

Oh? ou think that's a good idea? Do you!?!?! Seriously!?!? More ThinkPads all together in one place? You do realise that once they've amassed, they'll take a shot at you. If they catch you off guard, there's a good chance they'll flaw you as well.

Which species on Earth wouldn't fight against the oppression if it had the numbers and the advantage of surprise????

Once they've taken you out, they set up a fort in your living room (probably where the outlets are and access to the router). From there? they recruit and start their plans for world domination!!!

......Or, maybe they'd just breed like rabbits? But is that much better? An orgy of ThinkPads in your living room? (Again, access to the power and internet supplies). Sickening I tell you!! Sickening!!

Awww, that's not so bad!! I've been told that human beings will feel less guilty about something if they get other people to do it with them. Can you convince someone else to pick up a controller as well?

Don't worry, I'm workin' on a way to genetically enhance the house plants so they have imposable thumbs. I'll let you know when I've developed a cerium . ^_^

Well, it depends on what you'd do with them, right?

What if someone got them in bulk,  they could open up so an internet shop?

If they were the exact same model, they could install OSes over the network, and only need one image as a backup, right?

Each time a computer restarted, they just reboot the image stored the server. (I'd assume that one would be the "master" computer, workin' as a server).

Just one example anyways.

Orrrrrr, what if the person rented them out to people who were between laptops currently?
