Topic: Howdi

Howdi just discovered crunchbang from distro watch, Come from an Ubuntu < 10.10 background, then after Unity reared its head moved to opensuse and then when I couldn't stand yast decided to go to Fedora 16 but for some reason it refuses to work on my laptop, installs fine but then wont boot

So off to Distro Watch seen crunchbang and I'm so glad Fedora didn't work now as crunchbang is awesome, clean and customisable.

Thanks for a great Distro keep up the good work.

Makes me want to contribute so I'll take a look at how I can help.

hi shutupsquare, welcome to the community!
if you want to contribute, you have 2 options:
1. contribute through helping other users out on the forums, posting scripts you built etc, whatever helps the community
2. make a donation to the single developer of #!, Mr Corenominal, who has recently given up his day job to work on #! fulltime, and has to be able to pay for his beers: http://crunchbanglinux.org/donations/

Sure it is - make your own:

Plum Liqueur

Wash plums and pat dry, cut in half or smaller, toss the pit. Place in an opaque crock, pour sugar over, and stir. Add vodka and brandy, stirring to partly dissolve sugar. Cap container and place in a cool, dark place for 2 months, stir occasionally.
Place a strainer over a large bowl and strain liqueur. Press the liquid from the plums with the back of a wooden spoon, and discard plum pulp. Re-strain liqueur through cloth until clear, and bottle as desired.
Plum liqueur is ready for drinking or cooking, however for best results, age for another month

^^ yes as carpentry joke it wood be funny however I was thinking as a surveyor! A theodolite and or level needs to be plumbed to work right and if the surveyor had had too much plum liqueur it would take forever to plumb that sucker.
