Topic: New to crunchbang.. loving it

Hi,

I wanted to honestly appreciate the crunchbang team for coming up with a wonderful OS. Before this i tried out ubuntu and linux mint, and for some reason my system was really slow, with poor boot up times and low battery performance. Crunchbang seems to be ideal for my hardware, its very fast and my system is running cool and smooth. Impressive boot up times, very nice performance even when opening multiple windows.

i like my experience so far. only problem i faced is that my wifi device driver not installed properly. i have a broadcom43. but i looked into the forums and found that there are answers available.. apparently a 9 step procedure which i ll try and leave back comments. :-)

other than that, i am impressed by the simplicity of openbox and the versatility of debian that crunchbang packs..

BTW, can someone tell me how i can pluck my window from a maximised one to a restored one? kinda like windows7 or KDE or even gnome i guess. is it possible with openbox? i just love that feature..

thanks for crunchbang

regards,
Sarvy

Hello and welcome, msrvnn.  There's a lot to appreciate here besides the fried ice cream.
