CBizgreat! = Crunchbang is great, with an exclamation mark for emphasis. tongue

I let the forum pick me avatar, am lazy for one thing. Even if I wanted to put forth da effort to find one. Doubt would be able to find a pic that's suitably weird enough ... Shrugs.

Some common cbiz abbreviations. This will save me time and yet @ same time tell folks what the babble is supposed to mean.

Re: How did you choose your screen name and avatar?

When I started getting into IRC I figured I'd see a lot of Bill's. So, I had better make my name different. I'm from New York. So, I made it NYbill. ....I haven't seen another Bill yet. LOL

When I started getting into forums I didn't have a avatar at first. Then one night I stumbled across this "gun monkey" pic and it made me laugh. I thought, "I'd trust a chimp with a gun more then half the humans that carry them!"

So, I gimped it down to 60x60 and its been with me ever since.

Well, while registering on #! I ate wasabi coated peanuts, as I like them very much! Avatar is a picture of a can of wasabi coated peanuts. lol

Nothing special, but I like it.

@wasabi:  So your avatar is literally "exactly what it says on the tin"? lol  That's so meta.

Re: How did you choose your screen name and avatar?

Fun fact: Wasabi sold in restaurants is nothing more than slightly altered guacamole.

Least I believe it was. I remembered hearing it on what of those cooking shows. I don't remember too well, was a few months ago. It's also the reason real horseradish is rare, because Wasabi is expensive. Like $60 for just an ounce. Supposedly.

I wonder if wasabi flavored nuts are as good as you say

Rin: I won’t say ‘See you tomorrow’ because that would be like predicting the future, and I’m pretty sure I can’t do that.

I was disappointed when I found out that deep fried seaweed from the Chinese restaurants was really deep friend spring greens

Re: How did you choose your screen name and avatar?

I already posted this in my unknowingly copied thread lol but I shall post it here =]

My alias has a few meanings as I often overthink stuff (oh the mind of a hacker xD)
* I like the letter X so I replaced Z with X as it produces the same sound in some cases.
* The first part is xen (zen) which is peace meaning I am a peaceful person.
* xen is part of my favourite music label "ant-zen"
* NULL - default or 0 I default to peaceful lol and it has links to programming
so thats basically how I thought mine up.

My avatar is one I edited myself by using a manga generator and and editing the final image. It represents that I love to use mono colorschemes, that I am a rivethead (industrial music fan) and that I am a pirate xD This image also has a plait beard which is because I have an interest in norse mythology, hence why my laptop is called ODIN lol

My nick is a mix of bombardier from the offroad vehicle company and I just threw bark in front of it. Made it up from back in my Battlefield playing days.

@TitanMech
Yes the C&C games were good.

@Dyzphagia
I can assure you that wasabi peanuts or any nut covered in wasabi is delicious.  True story.

My nick came from an old Sprite commercial in the 90's, making a mockery of Sunkist (I think).  Been using this nick since elementary school and haven't found a better replacement.
Sunfizz Commercial

My avatar is Reimu from the popular japanese doujin franchise called Touhou Project that has spawned millions of products, comics, music arranges, memes, etc.  The original picture was from a doujinshi that I can no longer find, but here is the source picture.

I prefer using my keyboard over the mouse, I am KeyBoard Monkey smile

Also, having worked as a corporate coder for many years, I felt like a Keyboard Monkey Slave many times. This ties in with my strong feelings towards the Infinite Monkey theorem:

"a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare."

My pic is that of me, solarized and GIMPed into a terminal window.

I like bananas. cool thread big_smile

Re: How did you choose your screen name and avatar?

dubois is a name from a recurring dream I have [possible past life ??] and the image is blatantly stolen from a Perez Hilton blog about an old man who wheeled his oxygen tank into a jewelry shop in Beverly Hills, robbed the store, and made his getaway in a Cadillac.  I'll probably go to hell for stealing from Perez Hilton. though.

My name came from some Haujobb lyrics for a song called Clockwise:

My avatar is me looking a little bluer than usual owing to there being a lot of sky in the photo I used smile

my other, later, nickname was sea monkey. or cmo.... but that seems too popular...

Re: How did you choose your screen name and avatar?

It's just my real name, and it means I don't have enough imagination to come up with anything better for a screen name.  And since I haven't been able to find an avatar I like, I just don't use one.

My name is a play on "mahatma" - of course! big_smile I thought mahatman sounded like a cool super-hero type thing...like he saves the world with passive protest or something. The 2 is because the first place I used it (idk if it was here, or where), mahataman was already taken. (I think it was a dumb email thing or something)

My avatar comes from this thread

Re: How did you choose your screen name and avatar?

Nore is just my  bad self in the webs, to distinguish private from professional activities, although they sometimes interlate. It was originally my nickname in military training decades ago, twisted and shortened to extreme from my name. Nobody uses it anymore, so it is familiar but doesn't relate to anything else in real life.  Another nick I had back then was Nortti, which is also short informal form of North State cigarette brand and resembles word nörtti (finnish for nerd). I don't smoke and lack the talent for being a nerd.

Avatar is from family album: a young countryman dressed up dandy  for a photograph around 1910. (His cell phone rang just when the photographer was ready.) I want grow mustaches like that. The former bold avatar with remarkable undershot lower jaw was expected to reflect my inner beauty, this one is supposed to look intellectual.

mahatman2: you have a healthy taste for superheros.
