Topic: Conky setup question

I am trying to get this conky:
http://blog.segfault.co.in/?p=73

and it says to download conky colors from this page:
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ … tent=92328

and when I enter this into my terminal:

$sudo apt-get install aptitude python-statgrab python-keyring ttf-ubuntu-font-family hddtemp curl lm-sensors conky-all

I get this in my terminal:
http://s13.postimage.org/wrv2tjg3b/2012_01_19_1326960077_669x466_scrot.png

What's going on?

I know I spelt conky wrong, I corrected that and ttf-ubuntu-font-family still doesnt work.

Re: Conky setup question

[Emperor]Oh, I'm afraid ttf-ubuntu-font-family will be quite difficult to find in the Debian repos.[/Emperor]

Also, I don't think "coky-all" is the other package you're looking for.

EDIT:  If you know what fonts pulled in by ttf-ubuntu-font-family (I'm sure it's a meta-package) are in that Conky, you can install them separately.

while ( ! ( succeed = try() ) );

Re: Conky setup question

I can just use another font though correct?

Re: Conky setup question

Correct.

By the way, I hope the Emperor joke came across right; I was thinking of "I'm afraid the shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive."

while ( ! ( succeed = try() ) );

Re: Conky setup question

honestly it went over my head first but I googled it and I am ashamed

You can also download http://font.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu- … y-0.80.zip and extract it to .fonts (create the directory if it doesn't exist). Then run

 fc-cache -fv

and you can use the fonts.
